The new academic year has started, and so has our university cooperation program. The first lecture and presentation of AMS-WEB© application took place on 18 September 2018 at the University of Economics in Bratislava. The attendees were the students of the Faculty of Economic Informatics studying Information Management.
Cooperation with FINAMIS s.r.o. allows post-graduate students to use AMS-WEB© web application designed for asset management together with the native mobile app AMS Investor. By investing fictitious funds into financial instruments, students can monitor the development of their portfolio influenced by the demand and the offer of securities on financial markets. Active work with an instruments portfolio is part of the class entitled Financial Market Analysis. Thanks to personal hands-on experience with investment, the class will be more practical and untraditional.
The guarantor of the class, prof. RNDr. Ľudovít Pinda, CSc., said the following about the study support: "Students welcome the opportunity to apply theoretical calculations in practice on real capital markets with the AMS-WEB© app. At the beginning of the semester, students are assigned a project which they work on for ca. 3 months, which is sufficient time to achieve relevant results. The app was presented exhaustively and students were very happy about the existence of a mobile app. We hope that the cooperation will expand in the future, as it helps our faculty to keep in touch with the practice."
